The collaboration between FEPAR and the Department of Surgery in Chemnitz is based primarily on the development of research studies on new surgical techniques for bariatric procedures.  The collaboration provides the opportunity to share skills and clinical experience among the collaborators.  Such a collaboration enables the exchange of personnel, thus enhancing clinical practice and, consequently, improves patient care.
